I’d like to say yes… but I doubt it would be true.
Win7 is picking up many frustrated Vista users, and MacOS is still quite popular.
10% of the desktop market (either Gnome/KDE) within 5-10 years, possibly.
I guess it really depends on the popularity of Linux and BSD operating systems. Unlike KDE which can run on Windows, GNOME is pretty much stuck in the Unix world. As such, it’ll only pick up momentum as free operating systems do.
